Blue Jackets win 5-4 over the Boston Bruins

That's the thing with Murray, I understand he's injury prone since that freak accident while playing for Everett, but he does have great ice vision and IQ, hopefully he gets resigned assuming JJ leaves, he can deliver an excellent first pass...

Thoroughly enjoyed watching the game. Wouldnt mind seeing a Bs/Jackets matchup in the postseason. That damn Vanek has always had our number

No comments about the non-call on Dubois in OT? I didn’t watch but I know Bruins fans were livid

I will take the 2 points but Marchand should have had at least 1 penalty shot in the overtime. He got mugged by Dubois. Maybe this was Karma coming back to bite him.

Oh it doesn’t bug me. Just surprised he didn’t mention it. Wondered if both sides thought it was egregious or just the homers.

Eh. Probably should have been called, but no reason to cry over spilled milk. Wasn't a clear break away and Marchand being Marchand did his best to make it look ugly.

I also prefer hockey where the refs "put the whistles away" as they generally do in the post season. Make them earn it.

This is a reasonable and balanced opinion, what is it doing on this website?

Was at work last night so I didn't see the game, sure am glad we won! wow, what a difference a few days make.

CBJ:

@NYR, FLA, STL, @EDM, @CAL, @VAN, DET, PIT, @NHS (predict 12 points if a miracle happens out West, and that is looking very possible now with CAL playing badly, VAN in the tank, and EDM ugly).

PHI:

@DET, NYR, @PIT, @DAL, @COL, BOS, @NYI, CAR, NYR (predict 10 points, thinking they will split 2 games with NYR and split WC road trip).

NJ:

@SJ, @PIT, TBL, CAR, PIT, NYI, @MTL, NYR, TOR, @WSH (predict 10 points, if they can take one from a team with more points than them, like PIT at home)

FLA:

@OTT, @CBJ, ARI, @NYI, @TOR, @OTT, @BOS, CAR, NSH, BOS, BUF, @BOS
(predict 14 points, hoping they lose 2 or 3 to BOS)

Standings:

PHL: 85 (ahead because of more loser points than CBJ and 1 more ROW)
CBJ: 85
NJD: 82 + 1 game in hand
FLA: 79 +3 games in hand.

Another great CBJ night, winning at BOS is a huge result, gives breathing space over NJ and keeps lead over FLA. Pivotal night tonight, CBJ has tough but possible winnable game at NYR, FLA has roadie to OTT, NJD has tough game at ANA, PHI has easy 2 at DET, and PIT has easy 2 at NYI.

If CBJ gets two more wins a row, they start to look great for a berth.

If you have not noticed, PIT plays four games against Metro teams chasing them. If by some miracle PHI and CBJ can beat them, then 2nd in the division is up for grabs too.

Current guess finish:

CBJ: 97 (3rd in division, all depends on Thursday and Canada trip)
PHI: 95 (1st Wild card)
NJD: 94 (2nd Wild Card)
FLA: 93 (Out, Thursday game with CBJ is huge for them)

PIT: 99 (2nd in division, they are healthy except for G with a fairly easy schedule to finish)

Could easily change tomorrow, I hope gets better for CBJ.

Can we just not play Pens in the first round again? I know we’re going to have to face them eventually but I’d like to see what a series against somebody other than Malkin/Crosby and co. looks like.

Chances of playing Pitt or Wash are high if you make the playoffs, and tbh, I'd still probably rather play the tuxedo chickens. I said this last year, though, too so whatever lol. It's just me. I want to play somebody I hate. That's what I love about sports.

I would like to play the team with the weakest goalie, I'm not sure who that is at this point between PIT, WAS, PHL, TBL and BOS.
